more importantly,we should have an AED at Shell Creek. A monkey can work it,my 6 year old knows how to use it. I am a nurse and BLS Trainer,AED trainer. You only have about 3-4 minutes to use it successfully and patients commonly go down at parks, golf courses,tennis courts,plus there are baseball games there. If a kid gets hit in the chest head on with a ball he can go into v-fib arrest, the only thing that will save his life is a defribillator. How many more tragedies does NY we need before we get one??? I guess if you haven’t had to wrap a 12 yr old in a body bag who could have been saved w/ an AED u don’t want to get it. Please we need to consider this for the residents in our community!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Michelle B RN,BLS Instructor

You can make a bridge to walk over Austin Blvd. This would be a very safe way to walk across a very busy intersection.

The webmaster Joshua Sundquist was kind enough to post the next meeting date, November 18. We will work on getting all of the future meetings posted on the site.

Joshua was also kind enough to put a discussion board up where residents can discuss issues.

The association executive board can be reached at islandparkcivicassociation@gmail.com, if you have suggested topics for future meetings. Any items of immediate concern should be reported to the police, the more we report incidents to them the more they will realize that we need their help.

Checking the site to find out when the next meeting is and could not find a date. Maybe this could be inserted in the home page header. Also, there is no resident suggestion or input area I assume the association would like to hear from any and all residents about concerns around island park.
